Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers C57BL/6 Mouse T Cell-depleted Splenocytes, Irradiated for using as antigen presenting cells, stimulation/feeder cells or target cells in a wide variety of immunology-based applications.
Description
C57BL/6 mouse T cell-depleted splenocytes are splenocytes isolated from the spleen of C57BL/6 mice that have been depleted of T cells. These cells are commonly used in research studies to examine immune responses, investigate the role of specific immune cell populations, or test the efficacy of immunotherapies.
Species character
The C57BL/6 mouse is the most commonly-used inbred mouse strain available and is employed in numerous research areas, including immunology, genetics, diabetes and obesity, neurobiology, cardiovascular biology, and developmental biology. They are routinely used as the background strain for generation of congenics carrying modified genes and/or transgenes. These mice carry the H-2b haplotype and their immune cells are commonly used in immune-based assays.
Background
A splenocyte can be any one of the different white blood cell types as long as it is situated in the spleen or purified from splenic tissue. Splenocytes consist of a variety of cell populations such as T and B lymphocytes, dendritic cells and macrophages, which have different immune functions.
