Research Associate

Role Summary

A research associate position is available in Creative Biolabs, a biotechnology company based in Long Island in New York State.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual.

Key Responsibilities

He/She will be a team member in the production of recombinant proteins, and play a critical role in the discovery/development of novel molecular reagents.
He/she will be expected to participate in experimental design, conduct experiments, optimize throughput, maintain detailed records, and generate standard operating procedures.
Design and conduct experiments with limited supervision from Scientists.
Evaluate data, make observations, troubleshoot, and keep detailed records in laboratory notebook.
Communicate results and observations to colleagues in team meetings.
Other duties are assigned.

Basic Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a related discipline, and 1-2 years of biotech/pharma industry experience is preferred.
Experience with basic molecular biology techniques, required.
Experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques, required.
Experience with transient and stable mammalian protein expression, required.
Experience with WB and ELISA is preferred.
Excellent attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal), required.
The successful candidate should have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and contribute to the strategic goals of the company.
