Creative Biolabs is an undisputed leading provider of antibody development and generation services. Now, we provide in vitro diagnostic (IVD) antibody development services targeting various biomarkers of a wide variety of diseases. Especially, Creative Biolabs offers high-quality antibody development services for diagnostic applications targeting the CD34 marker.

CD34 Antigen (CD34)

CD34 antigen (CD34) is encoded by the gene of CD34 molecular, which plays a role in the attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or to stromal cells in human, mouse rat and other species. CD34 is a single-pass membrane protein, which is highly glycosylated and phosphorylated by protein kinase C. Moreover, CD34 is associated with the selection and enrichment of hematopoietic stem cells for bone marrow transplants. More than that, CD34 could act as a scaffold for the attachment of lineage specific glycans. CD34 also presents carbohydrate ligands to selectins.

CD34 Marker of Liver Fibrosis

Liver fibrosis results from chromic damages to the liver such as chronic viral hepatitis and fatty liver diseases associated with obesity. Leading to the complications of the end-stage liver disease, including portal hypertension, impaired metabolic capacity, synthetic dysfunction, and ascites, it has been a worldwide burden. Cirrhosis of the liver for many years was classified based on the amount of connective tissue present and the variable size of its nodularity. Clinicopathologic evaluation and the nature of the early perivenular lesions of necrosis and fibrosis were determined by histologic and immunologic means. Until now, liver fibrosis management based on treating the cause, advising patients to stop alcohol and smoking, treating hepatitis infections and managing complications. Many studies proposed that CD34+ cells and BM-MSC could alleviate chemically-induced liver fibrosis. Therefore, detection of CD34 expression is an important indicator for the diagnosis of hepatic fibrosis.
