Platform

During the past years, Creative Biolabs has successfully established an advanced phage display platform as well as Hyperdoma™ platform for specific antibody production. Based on these mature technologies, now we are capable of providing first-class customized anti-glycan antibody development services for research, diagnostic, as well as therapeutic antibody developments.

What is Anti-Glycan Antibody?

Anti-carbohydrate antibodies are a type of natural antibodies that target glycans and are continuously produced throughout life. Based on the different levels in humans, three groups of NAbC (natural anti-carbohydrate antibodies) have been classified, namely a) conservative NAbC that are practically the same regarding specificity and blood levels in all healthy individuals; b) allo-antibodies to blood group antigens and xenoantibodies to antigens from other species; c) plastic antibodies, which include antibodies from the two previous groups but with variable levels during certain conditions, such as pregnancy or inflammation. Until now, multiple biological functions of NAbC have been characterized, which including but not limited to boosting immunity against tumor cells and enhancement of immunogenicity in vaccines against infectious disease.

Production of Anti-Glycan Antibody by Phage Display Platform

With the development of antibody preparation technology, the phage display technique could display numerous interested molecules (e.g. proteins and peptides) on the surface of bacteriophages. During the past, a wide variety of antibodies, such as Fabs, scFvs (single-chain variable fragments) and sdAbs (single-domain antibodies), have been successfully produced through phage display technology. Based on our top phage display platform, Creative Biolabs is able to employ various types of phage in various project objectives. In particular, for self-antigens, such as carbohydrate moieties, phage display is an ideal technique for the generation of fully human antibodies due to the absence of tolerance mechanisms.

Production of Anti-Glycan Antibody by Hyperdoma™ Platform

In addition to phage display, hybridoma also plays a major role in therapeutic antibodies production. Comparing to other antibody production techniques such as phage display, the antibodies produced by hybridoma harness the power of natural hyper-mutation and sequence optimization that often exert high affinity and excellent stability. Aided by our state-of-the-art hybridoma platform, Creative Biolabs is capable to help global customers produce specific anti-carbohydrate antibodies with high affinity.

Recently, anti-carbohydrate antibodies have been widely used in many areas, which including but not limited to glycan identification, glycan purification, tumor diagnostics, and therapeutics. Aided by our professional scientists and top technology, we have successfully developed a cutting-edge platform for anti-carbohydrate antibodies development services. Creative Biolabs is dedicated to assisting our clients with the most satisfactory anti-carbohydrate antibody development services.
