Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers 1321N1-Tg(Human P2Y12 Receptor) Stable Cell Line which P2Y12 receptor stably expressed in 1321N1 cells.
Description
1321N1-Tg(Human P2Y12 Receptor) Stable Cell Line was engineered to express the receptor human P2Y12 (NM_022788). The P2Y12 receptor is a crucial member of the P2Y family of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) that responds to extracellular nucleotides, particularly ADP (adenosine diphosphate). This cell line can be used to study P2Y12 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions.
Features
Minimally modified GPCRs directly selected in functional assays;
Strict quality control;
Parental and orthologous cell lines are available.

Background
The P2Y12 receptor was discovered and cloned in the late 1990s. It was classified as a GPCR based on its sequence homology and functional characterization as a receptor for ADP. P2Y12 receptors are predominantly expressed in platelets, where they play a pivotal role in regulating platelet aggregation and thrombus formation. They are also found in other tissues, including the central nervous system (CNS), where they have roles in synaptic transmission and neuroinflammation.
