Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-K1-Tg(Human 5-HT4D Receptor) Division-Arrested Cell which 5-HT4D receptor stably expressed in CHO-K1 cells.
Description
CHO-K1-Tg(Human 5-HT4D Receptor) Division-Arrested Cell was engineered to express the receptor human 5-HT4D (NM_001040172.2). This cell line can be used to study 5-HT4D receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions. Dividing-arrest cells are cells that are normally kept under specific culture conditions or treated with agents that prevent cell division from being held in a non-dividing state. This can be achieved through methods such as serum starvation, chemical inhibitors of cell cycle progression, or genetic modification.

Background
The human serotonin receptor 5-HT4 is a G protein-coupled receptor. 5-HT4 receptors are located in striatal and limbic areas known to be involved in cognition and mood. 5-HT4 ligands may prove to be therapeutic in the treatment of disorders such as cardiac arrhythmias, irritable bowel syndrome and urinary incontinence. 5-HT4 receptor is also a promising target for the treatment of depression and cognitive disorders.
