Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-K1-Tg(Human alpha2A Receptor) Stable Cell Line which alpha2A receptor stably expressed in CHO-K1 cells.
Description
CHO-K1-Tg(Human alpha2A Receptor) Stable Cell Line was engineered to express the receptor human alpha2A (NM_000681.2). The α2A receptor is involved in regulating neurotransmitter release, vascular tone, and various central nervous system functions. This cell line can be used to study receptor pharmacology, signal transduction pathways, and drug discovery efforts targeting the alpha2A adrenergic receptor.

Background
The Alpha-2A adrenergic receptor (α2A-AR) is one of the three subtypes of alpha-2 adrenergic receptors, which include α2A, α2B, and α2C. These receptors are part of the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family and respond to the catecholamines norepinephrine and epinephrine. The α2A-AR subtype is involved in regulating neurotransmitter release, vascular tone, and various central nervous system functions.
