Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-K1-Tg(Human Gα16//Human GPR43 Receptor) Stable Cell Line which GPR43 receptor stably expressed in CHO-K1 cells which overexpress Gα16.
Description
CHO-K1-Tg(Human Gα16//Human GPR43 Receptor) Stable Cell Line was engineered to express the receptor human GPR43 (NM_005306). GPR43 is a crucial receptor involved in mediating the effects of SCFAs on energy metabolism, immune modulation, gut barrier function, and appetite regulation. This cell line can be used to study GPR43 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions.
Features
Minimally modified GPCRs directly selected in functional assays;

Background
The GPR43 receptor, also known as Free Fatty Acid Receptor 2 (FFAR2), is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) that primarily responds to short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), particularly acetate, propionate, and butyrate. These SCFAs are produced by the fermentation of dietary fiber by gut microbiota in the gastrointestinal tract.
