Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-K1-Tg(Human Gαqi5//Human M4 Receptor) Division-Arrested Cell which M4 receptor stably expressed in CHO-K1 cells which overexpress Gαqi5.
Description
CHO-K1-Tg(Human Gαqi5//Human M4 Receptor) Division-Arrested Cell was engineered to express the receptor human M4 (NM_000741.2) and Gαqi5 gene. This cell line can be used to study M4 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions. Dividing-arrest cells are cells that are normally kept under specific culture conditions or treated with agents that prevent cell division from being held in a non-dividing state. This can be achieved through methods such as serum starvation, chemical inhibitors of cell cycle progression, or genetic modification.
Features
Well-characterized stable cell lines;
for cell-based high-throughput screening;
Low-cost evaluation of stable cell lines or limited quantities of compounds.
Applications
M4 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions.

Background
The human muscarinic M4 receptor is a 479-amino acid, 7-transmembrane protein. In heart muscle, M4 receptors are coupled to specific K+ currents that regulate cardiac muscle contractions. They can also be found in tissues of the central nervous system and bladder.
