Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-K1-Tg(Human S1P3 Receptor) Division-Arrested Cell which S1P3 receptor stably expressed in CHO-K1 cells.
Description
CHO-K1-Tg(Human S1P3 Receptor) Division-Arrested Cell was engineered to express the receptor human S1P3 (NM_005226.2). This cell line can be used to study S1P3 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions. Dividing-arrest cells are cells that are normally kept under specific culture conditions or treated with agents that prevent cell division from being held in a non-dividing state. This can be achieved through methods such as serum starvation, chemical inhibitors of cell cycle progression, or genetic modification.

Background
S1P3 (sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor 3) or EDG3 (endothelial differentiation G-protein coupled receptor 3) is a receptor for the lysosphingolipid sphingosine 1-phosphate, a bioactive lysophospholipid that elicits diverse physiological effect on most types of cells and tissues. EDG receptors mediate pro- angiogenic activities, such as endothelial cell proliferation, chemotaxis, and vessel morphogenesis. S1P3, along with S1P1, is required for directing the organization of endothelial cells into capillary networks.
