Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-K1-Tg(Mouse 5-HT4A Receptor) Stable Cell Line which 5-HT4A receptor stably expressed in CHO-K1 cells.
Description
CHO-K1-Tg(Mouse 5-HT4A Receptor) Stable Cell Line was engineered to express the receptor mouse 5-HT4A (XM_006525680.3). 5-HT4 receptor is a versatile serotonin receptor with significant implications in both CNS function and peripheral physiology, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract. This cell line can be used to study 5-HT4A receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions.

Background
The 5-HT4 receptor is primarily found in the CNS, including regions such as the cortex, hippocampus, and striatum. It is also widely distributed in peripheral tissues, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract, where it is involved in regulating motility. Dysregulation of the 5-HT4 receptor has been implicated in several neurological and gastrointestinal disorders. For example, altered 5-HT4 receptor signaling has been associated with depression, schizophrenia, Parkinson's disease, and gastrointestinal disorders like IBS.
