Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-K1-Tg(Mouse EBI2 Receptor) Stable Cell Line which EBI2 receptor stably expressed in CHO-K1 cells.
Description
CHO-K1-Tg(Mouse EBI2 Receptor) Stable Cell Line was engineered to express the receptor mouse EBI2 (NM_183031.2). EBI2 (Epstein-Barr virus-induced gene 2) plays crucial roles in immune responses, particularly in the regulation of B cell migration and positioning within lymphoid tissues. This cell line can be used to study EBI2 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions.

Background
EBI2 was initially identified as a gene induced by Epstein-Barr virus infection in B lymphocytes. It was later recognized as a GPCR and classified within the Class A (rhodopsin-like) family of GPCRs. EBI2 is predominantly expressed in immune cells, particularly in B cells, dendritic cells, and macrophages. Its expression is also detected in certain non-immune tissues, although at lower levels. In B cells, EBI2 plays a critical role in guiding their migration within secondary lymphoid organs such as lymph nodes and spleen.
