Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers HEK293T-Tg(Human CRF2 Receptor) Division-Arrested Cell which CRF2 receptor stably expressed in HEK293T cells.
Description
HEK293T-Tg(Human CRF2 Receptor) Division-Arrested Cell was engineered to express the receptor human CRF2 (NM_001883.3). This cell line can be used to study CRF2 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions. Dividing-arrest cells are cells that are normally kept under specific culture conditions or treated with agents that prevent cell division from being held in a non-dividing state. This can be achieved through methods such as serum starvation, chemical inhibitors of cell cycle progression, or genetic modification.

Background
CRF2 is a member of the corticotrophin-releasing factor (CRF) receptor family. It is expressed in the brain, blood vessels and intestine. CRF plays an integral role in the coordinating endocrine and behavioral responses to stress as well as in the pathophysiology of several neurophsychiatric diseases such as depression, anxiety and addiction. CRF2 is involved in stress responses, cardiovascular function and gastric motility. Recent clinical data suggest that CRF- related agents may be promising in the treatment of various endocrine, psychiatric, neurologic and inflammatory diseases. CRF2 agonists may be useful in the treatment of upper-GI inflammatory diseases.
