Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers HEK293T-Tg(Human EP4 Receptor) Stable Cell Line which EP4 receptor stably expressed in HEK293T cells.
Description
HEK293T-Tg(Human EP4 Receptor) Stable Cell Line was engineered to express the receptor human EP4 (NM_000958). EP4 receptor is involved in mediating the diverse biological effects of prostaglandin E2 in inflammation, pain perception, immune responses, gastrointestinal function, cardiovascular regulation, reproductive functions, and bone metabolism. This cell line can be used to study EP4 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions.

Background
The EP4 receptor was identified and classified as one of the four subtypes of PGE2 receptors, designated EP1, EP2, EP3, and EP4. These receptors mediate the diverse biological effects of PGE2 in various tissues and cells. EP4 receptor is classified under the Class A (rhodopsin-like) family of GPCRs. EP4 receptor is widely expressed in various tissues and cells, including smooth muscle cells, endothelial cells, immune cells, neurons, and various organs such as the gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, and reproductive organs. Its expression pattern varies depending on the tissue and plays a role in mediating the physiological effects of PGE2 in those tissues.
