Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers HEK293T-Tg(Human mGlu7 Receptor) Division-Arrested Cell which mGlu7 receptor stably expressed in HEK293T cells.
Description
HEK293T-Tg(Human mGlu7 Receptor) Division-Arrested Cell was engineered to express the receptor human mGlu7 (NM_000844). This cell line can be used to study mGlu7 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions. Dividing-arrest cells are cells that are normally kept under specific culture conditions or treated with agents that prevent cell division from being held in a non-dividing state. This can be achieved through methods such as serum starvation, chemical inhibitors of cell cycle progression, or genetic modification.

Background
The metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGluRs) are divided into 3 groups on the basis of sequence homology, putative signal transduction mechanisms, and pharmacological properties. Group II and group III mGluRs are linked to inhibition of the cyclic AMP cascade, but differ in their agonist selectivity. mGluR7 is a member of Group III. Immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization showed that mGluR7 expresses in various sites in the nervous system.
