Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers HEK293T-Tg(Human NK2 Receptor) Stable Cell Line which NK2 receptor stably expressed in HEK293T cells.
Description
HEK293T-Tg(Human NK2 Receptor) Stable Cell Line was engineered to express the receptor human NK2 (NM_001057). NK2 receptor is a neurokinin receptor subtype with diverse functions in both the central nervous system and peripheral tissues. This cell line can be used to study NK2 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions.

Background
The NK2 receptor is primarily found in the central nervous system (CNS), particularly in areas such as the cerebral cortex, amygdala, and spinal cord. It is also present in peripheral tissues, including the gastrointestinal tract, lungs, and immune cells. The NK2 receptor is activated by substance P, a neuropeptide involved in neurotransmission and inflammation. Activation of the NK2 receptor mediates various physiological effects, including smooth muscle contraction, vasodilation, and modulation of neuronal excitability. In the CNS, it is involved in the regulation of pain perception, emotional responses, and neurogenic inflammation.
