Background
PTH2 receptor was identified and classified as a member of the Class B (secretin-like) family of GPCRs. It shares structural similarities with other receptors in this family, characterized by a large extracellular N-terminus and a seven-transmembrane domain structure.PTH2 receptor consists of an extracellular N-terminus, seven transmembrane helices connected by intra- and extracellular loops, and an intracellular C-terminus. This structural arrangement allows PTH2 receptor to interact with G proteins and initiate intracellular signaling pathways upon ligand binding.
