Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers HEK293T-Tg(Mouse 5-HT2B Receptor) Stable Cell Line which 5-HT2B receptor stably expressed in HEK293T cells.
Description
HEK293T-Tg(Mouse 5-HT2B Receptor) Stable Cell Line was engineered to express the receptor mouse 5-HT2B (NM_008311). 5-HT2B receptor is a multifunctional serotonin receptor with diverse roles in both the central nervous system and peripheral tissues. This cell line can be used to study 5-HT2B receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions.

Background
The 5-HT2B receptor is primarily found in the central nervous system (CNS), particularly in regions such as the cortex and basal ganglia. It is also present in peripheral tissues, including the cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal tract, and lungs. Like other serotonin receptors, the 5-HT2B receptor is a G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) that mediates the effects of serotonin. It is known to be involved in regulating neurotransmitter release, neuronal excitability, and synaptic plasticity in the brain. Outside the CNS, it plays roles in smooth muscle contraction, cardiac function, and gut motility.
