Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers HeLa-Tg(Human PAR4 Receptor) Stable Cell Line which PAR4 receptor stably expressed in HeLa cells.
Description
HeLa-Tg(Human PAR4 Receptor) Stable Cell Line was engineered to express the receptor human PAR4 (NM_003950.2). PAR4 receptor is activated by proteolytic cleavage and plays critical roles in hemostasis, inflammation, and neuronal signaling. This cell line can be used to study PAR4 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions.
Features
Minimally modified GPCRs directly selected in functional assays;
Strict quality control;
Parental and orthologous cell lines are available.

Background
PAR4 is unique among GPCRs in that it is activated by cleavage rather than binding of a specific ligand. Specifically, PAR4 is activated when serine proteases, such as thrombin or trypsin, cleave the N-terminal extracellular domain of the receptor at specific sites. This cleavage exposes a new N-terminus that acts as a tethered ligand, binding to and activating the receptor itself.
