Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-Tg(Human HER2) stable cell line which the HER2 gene stably expressed in CHO cells.
Description
CHO-Tg(Human HER2) stable cell line refers to Chinese hamster ovary cells that have been genetically modified to express high levels of the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) gene. HER2 is a protein that is overexpressed in certain types of cancer, particularly breast cancer, and is a target for anti-cancer therapies. These cells can be used in research to study the mechanisms of HER2 signaling, as well as testing the efficacy of HER2-targeted therapies.

Background
The HER2 gene (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2) is a gene that codes for a protein involved in cell growth and division. When the HER2 gene is mutated or amplified, it can lead to the overproduction of the HER2 protein, which can drive the growth of cancer cells in various types of cancer, such as breast cancer and gastric cancer. Testing for the HER2 gene status is an important component of cancer diagnosis and treatment, as it can help determine the best course of treatment, such as targeted therapy with drugs that specifically inhibit the HER2 protein.
