Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-Tg(Human NCAM) stable cell line which the NCAM gene stably expressed in CHO cells.
Description
The CHO-Tg(Human NCAM) stable cell line is a type of mammalian cell line that has been engineered to express high levels of human NCAM (Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule). NCAM is a glycoprotein that is involved in cell-cell adhesion and signaling, particularly in the nervous system. This stable cell line can be used for various research applications, such as studying the role of NCAM in cell adhesion, migration, and differentiation, as well as in neuronal development and plasticity. It can also be used for screening potential NCAM-targeting drugs or antibodies for therapeutic purposes.

Background
The neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM) gene encodes a cell adhesion protein that is primarily found on the surface of neurons and plays a key role in neural development, synaptic plasticity, and cell signaling. Mutations in the NCAM gene have been associated with various neurological disorders, such as schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorder, and Alzheimer's disease. Additionally, NCAM has been implicated in promoting neuronal cell survival and controlling neuronal migration during brain development. Further research on the NCAM gene may provide insights into the underlying mechanisms of these disorders and potential therapeutic targets.
