Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-Tg(Human PD-L1) stable cell line which the PD-L1 gene stably expressed in CHO cells.
Description
CHO-Tg(Human PD-L1) stable cell line refers to a cell line derived from Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells that have been genetically engineered to express and stably produce human programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) protein. PD-L1 is a critical immune checkpoint protein that plays a key role in regulating immune responses, particularly in the context of cancer progression. These cell lines can be used in research settings to investigate the role of PD-L1 in cancer immunotherapy, immune evasion, and other immune-related processes.

Background
The PD-1 gene, also known as programmed cell death protein 1, is a gene that encodes a protein found on the surface of T cells and other immune cells. PD-1 plays a crucial role in regulating the immune response by inhibiting T cell activity and preventing autoimmunity. However, overexpression of PD-1 can also suppress the immune response against cancer cells, allowing tumors to evade detection and destruction by the immune system. Therapies targeting PD-1, such as checkpoint inhibitors, have been developed to block the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands, releasing the brakes on the immune response and helping the body's immune system to attack and eliminate cancer cells. These treatments have shown significant success in treating various types of cancer, including melanoma, lung cancer, and lymphoma.
