Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers HEK293-Tg(Human CD155) stable cell line which the CD155 gene stably expressed in HEK293 cells.
Description
HEK293-Tg(Human CD155) stable cell line is a cell line derived from human embryonic kidney (HEK293) cells that have been stably transfected with a transgene encoding the human CD155 protein. CD155, also known as poliovirus receptor (PVR), is a cell surface protein that plays a role in cell adhesion and immune response. This cell line can be used in a variety of research applications, including viral infection studies, receptor-ligand interaction studies, and immunological assays.

Background
CD155, also known as poliovirus receptor (PVR), is a gene that encodes a transmembrane glycoprotein that is involved in cell adhesion and immune response regulation. CD155 serves as a receptor for poliovirus, as well as other viruses such as coxsackievirus and herpes simplex virus. In addition, CD155 plays a role in promoting tumor growth and metastasis, as it interacts with immune cells to evade detection and destruction by the immune system. It is also involved in regulating immune responses, particularly in the context of natural killer (NK) cell activity and T-cell activation. Dysregulation of CD155 expression has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and autoimmune disorders. Targeting CD155 has emerged as a potential therapeutic strategy for these conditions.
