Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers HEK293-Tg(Human CD47) stable cell line which the CD47 gene stably expressed in HEK293 cells.
Description
The HEK293-Tg(Human CD47) stable cell line is a genetically modified cell line derived from Human Embryonic Kidney 293 cells (HEK293) that stably expresses the human CD47 gene. CD47 is a cell surface protein that plays a role in regulating immune responses and cell survival. The stable expression of CD47 in these cells allows for the study of its function and potential therapeutic applications in various research settings.

Background
CD47 is a gene that encodes for a protein known as Cluster of Differentiation 47. This protein is a cell surface receptor that plays a role in regulating various cellular functions, including cell adhesion, migration, and apoptosis. CD47 is also involved in modulating the immune response, particularly in the context of regulating the phagocytosis of cells by macrophages. Research has shown that CD47 expression can be dysregulated in certain cancers, leading to immune evasion and tumor growth. Targeting CD47 with therapeutic antibodies has shown promise in cancer treatment by promoting the phagocytosis of cancer cells by immune cells. Additionally, CD47 has been implicated in other diseases and conditions, such as atherosclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, and autoimmune disorders.
