Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers HEK293-Tg(Human GITR) stable cell line which the GITR gene stably expressed in HEK293 cells.
Description
The HEK293-Tg(Human GITR) stable cell line is a cell line derived from human embryonic kidney (HEK) 293 cells that has been genetically modified to overexpress the human glucocorticoid-induced tumor necrosis factor receptor (GITR). GITR is a protein that is involved in modulating immune responses and has been studied for its potential role in cancer immunotherapy. The stable cell line can be used as a tool for studying the function of GITR and its signaling pathways, as well as for screening potential therapeutic agents that target GITR.

Background
The GITR gene, also known as Glucocorticoid-Induced TNFR-Related Protein, encodes a protein that is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. This protein is involved in the regulation of various immune responses, particularly in the activation of T cells. It has been studied for its potential role in cancer immunotherapy, as it has been shown to enhance the anti-tumor immune response when targeted with agonistic antibodies. Additionally, the GITR gene has also been implicated in the regulation of autoimmune diseases and inflammation.
