Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers HEK293-Tg(Human hIDO1) stable cell line which the hIDO1 gene stably expressed in HEK293 cells.
Description
The HEK293-Tg(Human IDO1) stable cell line is a cell line that has been genetically engineered to overexpress human Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO1). IDO1 is an enzyme that plays a key role in regulating the immune response by metabolizing the amino acid tryptophan. This cell line can be used as a valuable tool for studying the mechanisms of IDO1 function and for screening potential drugs that target this enzyme.

Background
The hIDO1 gene, also known as indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1, codes for an enzyme that catalyzes the first and rate-limiting step in the metabolism of the essential amino acid tryptophan. This enzyme is involved in the degradation of tryptophan along the kynurenine pathway, leading to the production of various metabolites that play important roles in immune regulation and tolerance. The hIDO1 gene has been studied extensively in the context of cancer, autoimmune diseases, and infectious diseases, as its activity can impact immune responses and inflammation. In cancer, overexpression of IDO1 has been linked to tumor immune evasion and poor prognosis, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions. In autoimmune diseases, dysregulation of IDO1 activity has been implicated in the breakdown of self-tolerance and the development of autoimmune responses. In infectious diseases, IDO1 activity can modulate host immune responses to pathogens.
