Description
CD247, also known as CD3Z, belongs to the CD3Z/FCER1G family. CD3 is a complex of proteins associated with the T cell receptor (TCR). The TCR/CD3 complex in T-lymphocytes consists of TCR alpha/beta or TCR gamma/delta heterodimers coexpressed with invariant subunits of CD3 (gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta, and eta). The TCR recognizes antigens bound to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules, leading to intracellular signal transduction.
