Short Decsription
For precise CSTB staining, utilize this ready-to-deploy IHC solution, a comprehensive kit that streamlines procedures from antigen retrieval through coverslipping.
Description
Cystatin B (CSTB), a protein in the cystatin family, functions as an inhibitor of thiol proteases and is involved in protecting cells from lysosomal protease leakage. CSTB is implicated in several diseases, including ovarian and colon cancer, as well as myoclonus epilepsy. Genetic mutations in CSTB are linked to progressive myoclonic epilepsy (EPM1), a disorder characterized by motor dysfunction.
