Short Decsription
For precise GLUT1 staining, utilize this ready-to-deploy IHC solution, simplifying procedures from antigen retrieval through coverslipping.
Description
GLUT1 (SLC2A1) is a key glucose transporter expressed in a variety of cell types, playing a vital role in maintaining basal glucose uptake. Erythrocytes are particularly rich in GLUT1 expression. Mutations in SLC2A1 lead to GLUT1 deficiency syndrome, and its overexpression serves as a reliable marker for juvenile hemangiomas. The protein exists in several glycosylated forms, ranging from 43 kDa to 55 kDa, with changes in glycosylation correlated to cell differentiation.
