Description
Glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK3) is a serine-threonine kinase that regulates glycogen synthase activity, and it is involved in energy metabolism, neuronal development, and body patterning. In skeletal muscle, GSK3 helps regulate insulin-driven glycogen synthesis by inhibiting the activity of glycogen synthase.
