Nine-reagent kit for the detection of arginophilic reticulin fibers according to Gordon and Sweets. The kit contains gold chloride solution for enhanced visualization of reticulin fibers and Kernechtrot reagent for fine contrasting backgrounds.
Description
The Reticulin Contrast Kit is used to identify and more easily visualize silver reticulum fibers in connective tissue. Reticulin provides structural support. It is found in the liver, spleen and kidneys. Reticulin fibers are well-defined in healthy livers; necrotic and cirrhotic livers have discontinuous fibers.
