Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers 1321N1-Tg(Human GPR17 (short form) Receptor) Stable Cell Line which GPR17 (short form) receptor stably expressed in 1321N1 cells.
Description
1321N1-Tg(Human GPR17 (short form) Receptor) Stable Cell Line was engineered to express the receptor human GPR17 (short form) (NM_001161416.1). GPR17 is a G protein-coupled receptor with diverse roles in both neuronal and non-neuronal tissues. This cell line can be used to study GPR17 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions.

Background
GPR17 belongs to the class A (rhodopsin-like) group of GPCRs. It possesses seven transmembrane domains, typical of GPCRs, which are responsible for its interaction with extracellular ligands and intracellular signaling. GPR17 is widely expressed in various tissues and cell types throughout the body. It is found in the central nervous system (CNS), particularly in oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPCs), as well as in peripheral tissues including the kidney, liver, and lung. Its distribution suggests roles in both neuronal and non-neuronal functions.
