Background
FGFR3 belongs to the family of fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFRs), which are receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs). It consists of an extracellular region, a transmembrane domain, and an intracellular tyrosine kinase domain. The extracellular region contains three immunoglobulin-like domains (D1, D2, and D3) involved in ligand binding.
