Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers 1321N1-Tg(Human P2Y13 Receptor) Stable Cell Line which P2Y13 receptor stably expressed in 1321N1 cells.
Description
1321N1-Tg(Human P2Y13 Receptor) Stable Cell Line was engineered to express the receptor human P2Y13 (NM_023914). P2Y13 receptors are also expressed in immune cells, where they regulate immune responses. Activation of P2Y13 receptors on immune cells can influence cytokine production, chemotaxis, and other immune cell functions, although their exact roles in immune modulation are still being studied. This cell line can be used to study P2Y13 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions.

Background
The P2Y13 receptor was identified and cloned in the early 2000s. It was classified as a GPCR based on its sequence homology and functional characterization as a receptor for nucleotides like ADP and UDP. P2Y13 receptors are expressed in various tissues throughout the body, although they are predominantly found in the central nervous system (CNS), particularly in regions associated with sensory and motor functions. They are also found in other tissues including the spleen, kidney, and immune cells.
