Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-K1-Tg(Human alpha2C Receptor) Stable Cell Line which alpha2C receptor stably expressed in CHO-K1 cells.
Description
CHO-K1-Tg(Human alpha2C Receptor) Stable Cell Line was engineered to express the receptor human alpha2C (AY455666). The α2C receptor is involved in regulating neurotransmitter release, vascular tone, and various central nervous system functions. This cell line can be used to study receptor pharmacology, signaling pathways, and drug screening.

Background
The Alpha-2C adrenergic receptor (α2C-AR) is one of the three subtypes of alpha-2 adrenergic receptors, which include α2A, α2B, and α2C. These receptors belong to the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family and respond to the catecholamines norepinephrine and epinephrine. The α2C-AR subtype is involved in regulating neurotransmitter release, vascular tone, and various central nervous system functions.
