Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-K1-Tg(Human NTS1 Receptor) Division-Arrested Cell which NTS1 receptor stably expressed in CHO-K1 cells.
Description
CHO-K1-Tg(Human NTS1 Receptor) Division-Arrested Cell was engineered to express the receptor human NTS1 (NM_002531.2). This cell line can be used to study NTS1 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions. Dividing-arrest cells are cells that are normally kept under specific culture conditions or treated with agents that prevent cell division from being held in a non-dividing state. This can be achieved through methods such as serum starvation, chemical inhibitors of cell cycle progression, or genetic modification.

Background
Human NTS1 is a 418 amino acid transmembrane protein in the neurotensin receptor family. It is primarily expressed in the central nervous system and in peripheral tissues. The neurotensin family plays an important role in a wide range of biological activities, such as hypotension, hyperglycemia, and regulation of vascular permeability. Recent studies have shown that NTS1 antagonists have great potential to become novel drugs for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson's disease.
