Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers HEK293T Gαqi5-Tg(monkey P2Y14 Receptor) Stable Cell Line which P2Y14 receptor stably expressed in HEK293T cells which overexpress Gαqi5.
Description
HEK293T-Tg(Monkey Gαqi5 and Monkey P2Y14 Receptor) Stable Cell Line was engineered to express the receptor monkey P2Y14 (XM_005546114) and Gαqi5 gene. P2Y14 receptors play a role in immune responses, particularly in the modulation of inflammatory processes. Activation of P2Y14 receptors on immune cells can influence cytokine production, chemotaxis, and other immune cell functions. This cell line can be used to study P2Y14 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions.
Features
Minimally modified GPCRs directly selected in functional assays;

Background
The P2Y14 receptor was identified and cloned in the early 2000s. It was classified as a GPCR based on its sequence homology and functional characterization as a receptor for UDP-sugars. P2Y14 receptors are widely expressed in various tissues throughout the body, including immune cells, liver, kidney, gastrointestinal tract, and adipose tissue. They are also found in the central nervous system (CNS), albeit at lower levels compared to other tissues.
