Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-Tg(Cynomolgus GPRC5D) stable cell line which the GPRC5D gene stably expressed in CHO cells.
Description
CHO-Tg(Cynomolgus GPRC5D) stable cell line refers to a cell line derived from Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells that has been genetically engineered to stably express the Cynomolgus GPRC5D gene. GPRC5D is a G protein-coupled receptor that is present in the Cynomolgus monkey species. This cell line can be used to screen for compounds that modulate GPRC5D activity, investigate its role in disease pathways, and test the efficacy of potential drug candidates targeting this receptor.

Background
The GPRC5D gene encodes a protein that is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor family. This gene is specifically expressed in the plasma cells of the immune system and has been implicated in various hematological cancers, such as multiple myeloma. Studies have shown that the GPRC5D gene may play a role in the survival and proliferation of cancer cells, making it a potential target for therapeutic intervention. Further research is ongoing to better understand the function of this gene and its implications for cancer treatment.
