Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers HER2/Neu-Specific T cells for immunity reaserch.
Description
HER2/Neu-specific T cells are a type of immune cell that has been modified to target and attack cancer cells that express the HER2/Neu protein. This protein is commonly found on the surface of breast cancer cells, making it a promising target for immunotherapy. These T cells are engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) that specifically recognizes the HER2/Neu protein, allowing them to selectively kill cancer cells while sparing healthy cells.
Background
HER2/Neu-specific T cells are a type of immune cell that has been genetically engineered to target and kill cancer cells expressing the HER2/Neu protein. HER2/Neu is a cell surface receptor that is overexpressed in a variety of cancer types, including breast cancer and ovarian cancer. By targeting HER2/Neu-expressing cancer cells, HER2/Neu-specific T cells can help to destroy the tumor and potentially improve patient outcomes. These T cells are created by taking T cells from a patient's blood and then genetically modifying them to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) that is specific for the HER2/Neu protein. Once infused back into the patient, these engineered T cells can recognize and attack cancer cells that express HER2/Neu, leading to tumor regression and potentially long-term remission.
