Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers Human Monocytes for immunity reaserch.
Description
Human monocytes are a type of white blood cell that play a crucial role in the immune system. They are produced in the bone marrow and circulate in the bloodstream, where they can differentiate into macrophages or dendritic cells. Monocytes are involved in the phagocytosis of pathogens, production of inflammatory cytokines, and activation of other immune cells. They play a key role in the body's defense against infections and are also involved in the regulation of inflammation and tissue repair.
Background
Monocytes are a type of white blood cell (leukocytes) that reside in your blood and tissues to find and destroy germs (viruses, bacteria, fungi and protozoa) and eliminate infected cells. They are produced in the bone marrow and then enter the blood, where they account for about 1 to 10% of the circulating white blood cells. They are the largest type of leukocyte and can differentiate into macrophages and conventional dendritic cells.
