Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers Human PBMCs, Irradiated for a wide variety of immunology-based applications, including proliferation and cytotoxicity studies.
Description
Human irradiated PBMCs refer to peripheral blood mononuclear cells that have been exposed to ionizing radiation. Irradiated PBMCs can then be used as feeder cells in cell culture experiments or in assays where cell proliferation needs to be prevented. The irradiation process helps to preserve the cells for longer periods of time and ensures that they will not overgrow in culture.
Background
Human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) are a type of white blood cell that are found in the bloodstream. They play a vital role in the immune system by helping to fight off infections and diseases. PBMCs are commonly used in research studies to study immune responses and evaluate the effects of drugs and other interventions on the immune system. They can be isolated from a blood sample using a process called density gradient centrifugation.
