Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers Jurkat-Tg(Human KIR3DL3)-IL-2 Luc reporter cell line which the KIR3DL3 gene stably expressed in IL-2 Luc reporter Jurkat cells.
Description
The Jurkat-Tg(Human KIR3DL3)-IL-2 Luc reporter cell line is a cell line that has been genetically modified to express the human killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor 3DL3 (KIR3DL3) and the luciferase reporter gene under the control of the interleukin-2 (IL-2) promoter. KIR3DL3 is a receptor found on natural killer cells and T cells that is involved in immune regulation and response to various stimuli. This cell line can be used to study the activation and signaling pathways of KIR3DL3 in response to different ligands or stimuli.

Background
The KIR3DL3 gene encodes for a killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor, which is a type of receptor found on natural killer cells. This receptor plays a role in regulating the activity of natural killer cells, which are a type of immune cell that can kill virus-infected cells and tumor cells. Variations in the KIR3DL3 gene have been associated with susceptibility to various diseases, including autoimmune disorders and certain types of cancer. Research on this gene is ongoing to better understand its function and potential implications for human health.
