Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-K1-Tg(Human Gqi5//Human alpha2B Receptor) Stable Cell Line which alpha2B receptor stably expressed in CHO-K1 cells which overexpress Gqi5.
Description
CHO-K1-Tg(Human Gqi5//Human alpha2B Receptor) Stable Cell Line was engineered to express the receptor human alpha2B (NM_000682.5) and Gqi5 gene. The α2B receptor is involved in various physiological processes, particularly in the cardiovascular system and smooth muscle regulation. This cell line can be used to study complex interactions and signaling mechanisms involving GPCRs and associated G-proteins.

Background
The Alpha-2B adrenergic receptor (α2B-AR) is one of the three subtypes of alpha-2 adrenergic receptors, which also include α2A and α2C. These receptors are part of the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family and respond to the catecholamines norepinephrine and epinephrine. The α2B-AR subtype is involved in various physiological processes, particularly in the cardiovascular system and smooth muscle regulation.
