Engineering Breast Cancer Cell MDA-MB-468 for Self-destruction
MDA-MB-468 is a common cell line used in breast cancer research. It was extracted from a pleural effusion of mammary gland and breast tissues, and has proven useful for the study of metastasis, migration, and breast cancer proliferation. Creative Biolabs offers state-of-the-art services for engineering the breast cancer cell MDA-MB-468 for self-destruction that meet your specific tumor research needs. Besides, we also offer immune reactivity assessment services and toxicity assessment services after engineering.
Breast Cancer Cell MDA-MB-468
Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) has the worst survival prognosis and accounts for 10% to 22% of all diagnosed breast cancer cases. The characteristics of TNBC cells are the absence of expressions of three receptors: estrogenic receptor alfa (ER), progesterone receptor (PR), and human epidermal growth factor 2 receptor (HER2). Although the tissue donor of TNBC was heterozygous for G6PD alleles, the cell line consistently showed only the G6PD A phenotype.
Currently, most of the breast cancer knowledge comes from in vivo and in vitro studies using breast cancer cell lines because they can provide unlimited amounts of homologous self-replicating material using simple but standard media. Breast cancer cell lines have been widely used in breast cancer research, and the researchers need to understand the characteristics of breast cancer cell lines and apply appropriate cell lines to complete their cancer research.
The MDA-MB-468 cell line is a widely used model for TNBC. MDA-MB-468 cell line has a modal chromosome number of 64, though the actual number can vary from 60 to 67 in different cells. It is a cell line with epithelial morphology that have wide applications in breast cancer and immuno-oncology research.

Engineering Breast Cancer Cell MDA-MB-468 for Self-destruction
Creative Biolabs provides the service that exploits and manipulates the MDA-MB-468 cell line to promote anti-breast cancer immunity. This method does not directly stimulate the MDA-MB-468 cells, thereby avoiding the risk of increasing MCF7 cell-dependent metastases. Self-destruction means the strategy which transfects overexpressed cytokines into cancer cells by different technologies and assays, thereby achieving the purpose of engineering MDA-MB-468 cells. Besides, Creative Biolabs also offers Immune Reactivity Assessment Services and Toxicity Assessment Services after engineering.
