Engineering Gastric Cancer Cell MKN for Self-destruction
The gastric cancer cell MKN, a human gastric adenocarcinoma, is established from the poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma of the stomach (medullary type) of a 62-year-old woman. Creative Biolabs offers state-of-the-art services for engineering the gastric cancer cell MKN for self-destruction that meet your specific tumor research needs. Besides, we also offer immune reactivity assessment services and toxicity assessment services after engineering.
Gastric Cancer Cell MKN
Gastric cancer is a common cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide and is often diagnosed at an advanced stage. Gastric cancer is the third primary cause of cancer mortality in the world. The MKN-45 cell line was established in Japan from a poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma of a 62-year-old woman. The MKN-45 cell line expresses wild-type p53 protein and is characterized by amplification of c-met oncogene and promoter mutation of E-cadherin.

Characteristics of gastric cancer cell MKN
✔ MKN-45 xenograft model is resistant to treatment with BEZ235 in vivo.
✔ Identifying CSCs, which possess properties that contribute to tumor formation, metastasis and recurrence, in gastric cancer models is considered important for developing stem cell-targeting therapies.
✔ The MKN-45 cell line is used to create the CDX model of gastric cancer.
✔ The MKN-45 xenograft model is also resistant to TGF-B growth inhibition, carboplatin, docetaxel and irinotecan.

Engineering Gastric Cancer Cell MKN for Self-destruction
Creative Biolabs provides a complete set of services that exploit and manipulate MKN cell lines to promote anti-gastric cancer immunity. Self-destruction means the strategy which transfects overexpressed cytokines into cancer cells by different technologies, thereby achieving the purpose of engineering MKN cells. This method does not directly stimulate the MKN cell line, thereby avoiding the risk of increasing MKN cell-dependent metastases. Besides, Creative Biolabs also offers Immune Reactivity Assessment services and Toxicity Assessment services after engineering.
