Engineering Lung Cancer Cell CL1 for Self-destruction

The human lung adenocarcinoma cell line, CL1, has been widely used to study the invasive capabilities or drug resistance of lung cancer cells. Creative Biolabs offers state-of-the-art services for engineering the lung cancer cell CL1 for self-destruction that meet your specific tumor research needs. Besides, we also offer immune reactivity assessment services and toxicity assessment services after engineering.

Lung Cancer Cell CL1

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the world. It accounted for 26% and 30% of all female and male cancer-related deaths, respectively. The majority of lung tumors are non-small cell lung carcinomas (NSCLCs). Radiotherapy is one of the most important therapies for cancer treatment. However, for elderly patients, it is not the best choice because they generally have multiple co-morbidities and/or poor performance status. It is still an urgent issue to look for a safe and reliable therapy method.

CL1-5 and CL1-0 are the most commonly used CL1 cell lines in scientific research. The CL1-5 cell line was derived from the human lung adenocarcinoma CL1-0 cell line using a transwell invasion chamber to select progressively more invasive cancer cell populations. The invasive ability of the CL1-5 cell line is approximately six-fold higher than that of CL1-0. Analysis of differential gene expression patterns indicated that the expression levels of invasion-related genes, such as proteases, adhesion molecules, cytoskeletal proteins, motility proteins, cell cycle regulators, and signal transduction molecules, differed between the CL1-0 and CL1-5 cell lines. Moreover, the previous study indicated that CL1-5 cells are more sensitive than CL1-0 cells in their response to radiation.

Engineering Lung Cancer Cell CL1 for Self-destruction

Creative Biolabs provides full-scale self-destruction services which exploit and manipulate lung cancer cell CL1 to promote anti-lung cancer immunity. The self-destruction method does not directly stimulate the CL1 cells, thereby avoiding the risk of increasing CL1 cell-dependent metastases. Self-destruction means the strategy which transfects overexpressed cytokines into cancer cells by different technologies, thereby achieving the purpose of engineering CL1 cells. Lastly, Creative Biolabs also offers Immune Reactivity Assessment services and Toxicity Assessment services after engineering.
