- African Green Monkey which is close to Rhesus monkey has been considered one of the most important NHP models for biomedical research. The cell product is derived from the kidney tissue of African Green Monkeys. It is negative for bacteria, fungi, and mycoplasma, and can be used as a suitable host for biological research for virus production, transfection, and gene silencing.
