Anti-TNFRSF17 (clone 1E1)-PEG4-Mal-DM4 ADC (CAT#: ADC-W-125)
This ADC product is comprised of an anti-TNFRSF17 monoclonal antibody (clone 1E1) conjugated via a PEG4-Mal linker to DM4. The DM4 is targeted to certain cancers by immunerecognition and delivered into cancer cells via receptor mediated endocytosis. Within the cell, DM4 binds to tubulins, interrupts microtubule dynamics, and subsequently, induces cell death.

- Overview
- The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor is preferentially expressed in mature B lymphocytes, and may be important for B cell development and autoimmune response. This receptor has been shown to specifically bind to the tumor necrosis factor (ligand) superfamily, member 13b (TNFSF13B/TALL-1/BAFF), and to lead to NF-kappaB and MAPK8/JNK activation. This receptor also binds to various TRAF family members, and thus may transduce signals for cell survival and proliferation.

- Name
- PEG4-Mal
- Description
- Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is a polyether compound with many applications from industrial manufacturing to medicine. PEG is also known as polyethylene oxide (PEO) or polyoxyethylene (POE), depending on its molecular weight.
- Name
- DM4 (N2'-Deacetyl-N2'-(4-mercapto-4-methyl-1-oxopentyl)maytansine)
- Description
- Derived from Maytansinoid,a group of cytotoxins structurally similar to rifamycin, geldanamycin, and ansatrienin. The eponymous natural cytotoxic agent maytansine is a 19-member lactam (ansa
macrolide) structure originally isolated from the Ethiopian shrub Maytenus ovatus. Maytansinoids can bind to tubulin at or near the vinblastine-binding site, which interfere the formation of microtubules and depolymerize already formed microtubules, inducing mitotic arrest in the intoxicated cells.
