Short Decsription
Creative Biolabs offers SD Rat Splenocytes for a wide variety of immunology-based applications.
Description
SD rat splenocytes refer to spleen cells derived from Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats. These cells play a crucial role in the immune system's response to foreign pathogens and are commonly used in research studies to study immune function and immune responses.
Species character
The Sprague Dawley rat is one of the two most widely-used outbred rat strains in biomedical research, including oncology, neurobiology, toxicology, pharmacology, aging, metabolism/nutrition, and neurobiology.
Background
A splenocyte can be any one of the different white blood cell types as long as it is situated in the spleen or purified from splenic tissue. Splenocytes consist of a variety of cell populations such as T and B lymphocytes, dendritic cells and macrophages, which have different immune functions.
