As a pioneer company in the antibody development field, Creative Biolabs has gained a wealth of experience in the in vitro diagnostic (IVD) antibody production. Now we can provide IVD antibody development services for apolipoprotein A4 marker to help our global customers with the diagnosis of bladder cancer.
Apolipoprotein A4 Marker
ApolipoproteinA4, also known as apoA-IV, is a 46-kDa protein encoded by the human APOA4 gene. Similar to the related protein apoA1, apoA4 consists of 12 amphipathic helices that facilitate both lipid binding and aqueous interaction. Importantly, it is secreted from the small intestine and plays an important role in the integrated control of food intake, metabolism, and glucose homeostasis, such as lipid absorption and chylomicron formation. Once in the plasma, approximately 25% of the chylomicron associated apoA4 diffuses from the chylomicron and can be found in the lipoprotein-free fraction of the plasma as well as in the HDL pool. Moreover, studies have shown that apoA4 is also a mediator of gut inflammation, reverse cholesterol transport, and linked to β-amyloid clearance in the brain.

Apolipoprotein A4 Marker of Bladder Cancer
Bladder cancer is one of the most common urinary tract carcinomas. As to the early detection of bladder tumors, the most important clinical challenges are the discovery of non-invasive stage/grade discriminators or predictors of tumor progression. In recent years, urine which is derived from plasma by filtration through the renal glomerulus has become one of the most widely used clinical samples for biomarker discovery. It is estimated that approximately 70% of urinary proteins are derived from the kidney and urinary tract. Most importantly, studies have suggested that the expression level of urine apoA4 in Ta/T1 and T2/T3 BCa samples is higher when compared with samples from healthy subjects. In this case, apoA4 can be used as a potential biomarker for the diagnosis and prognosis of bladder cancer.
IVD Antibody Development Services Targeting Apolipoprotein A4 Marker
Biomarkers are usually regarded as proteins or enzymes that are detected in serum, plasma, or cells and can offer important diagnostic and prognostic value for clinical diagnosis of diseases. During the past years, the discovery of new disease-specific biomarkers and the development of IVD technology has greatly promoted the detection of numerous diseases at early stages. Most of the IVD tools are based on the use of IVD antibodies. With years of experience in IVD market, Creative Biolabs offers a full range of IVD antibody development services to our customers all over the world. With our versatile IVD platform, Creative Biolabs is proud to develop novel Apolipoprotein A4 marker-specific (paired) antibodies from scratch to commercial IVD kit (we can also start with provided antibody candidates).
Besides apolipoprotein A4 marker, we also provide IVD antibody development services targeting other potential biomarkers to meet the specific requirements of our clients. For more detailed information, please feel free to contact us and get a quote.
